Recently, I sat down with my client Alan from creative Contractors, Inc. who’s mission is to provide superior construction services while placing customer satisfaction above all else.
They are a second-generation business, with both generations active in the business. Founder Alan is now CEO, and his son Josh, who is in his 15th year with the company, is President. The name of our business reflects the creative mind of the owners which is themed “We create better…..”, which you can view on their website www.creativecontractors.com.
Alan said that they have always been “Creative” in their promotions and gifts, as well, and developed a reputation for giving unique and creative mementos. The Coloring Book received the same accolades form our clients and associates.
When asked by they decided to create a coloring book, Alan said, “It’s a natural fit. We build buildings, and have a large inventory of quality photos that lend themselves perfectly to becoming subject matter for a coloring book. Architecture is a natural subject for coloring. Who doesn’t like to color a building? And our architect friends love seeing their work in the book.”
He also mentioned that he first saw a coloring book of the village he lives in, and it inspired him to create his own, so he assembled a broad mix of buildings they have built recently, representing many of the sectors they are active in.
When asked how people have reacted to the books, Alan said, “Astounding! Architects, owners, engineers—everyone has the same response “How cool!” Everyone says it’s unique—at industry conferences for building facilities people (usually healthcare or education), our coloring book is the most popular item that everyone wants. We had to order a second printing recently, and we are working on selecting photos for Volume II.”
