Custom coloring books are universally enjoyed by kids and adults of all ages, but a lot of the coloring books we create are for businesses looking to engage with kids. There are many ways we can go about creating a custom branded coloring book that’s geared towards kids, including creating simpler or cartoon images, adding custom activity pages, and writing stories that are at the appropriate reading level.

My clients at the Better Business Bureau Serving Connecticut came to me because they wanted to engage younger demographics and educate them on their mission.

They recently began an initiative to build a multimedia repository of their own so they could stray away from stock photos. So, they were able to use their own photos for the coloring book, which they felt was really cool.

The Better Business Bureau Serving Connecticut is on a mission to establish an ethical marketplace where both businesses and consumers can trust one another.

They are a local arm of an international non-profit organization, and offer many tools that are free to the public. They are here to help businesses and consumers alike. Businesses that choose to uphold BBB’s Standards for Trust and are thoroughly vetted can earn the opportunity to become a BBB Accredited Business.

The BBB works hard to promote ethical business practices for both businesses and consumers. They do this through a handful of initiatives—consumer education, events, accreditation of qualified businesses, mediation for complaint resolution between consumers and businesses, partnerships with the services through their Military Line program, scam prevention and more.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has been around since 1912, but their branch—that serves all of Connecticut minus a handful of towns—was founded in 1928.

When asked how their coloring books have been received by kids, my client said, “We nearly ran out of our entire stock at the first event we passed them out. It’s a great way to get kids involved in your company’s mission … to speak their language. And, it helps to give kids something to stay occupied with while you’re trying to speak to their parents!”
